Our vision
Transforming how society relates to AI, technology and communication.

Mission
A School of Communication lab that brings together university, industry and society to rethink digital culture and humanize technological change.
What we mean by “nonhuman”
In our initial agenda, “nonhuman” refers to AI agents and digital systems that take part in communicative processes: they answer, recommend, write or coordinate. The term does not equate people and machines; it lets us study precisely how communication changes when both intervene.

From Mexico and Latin America
We produce knowledge from a specific context, with its languages, institutions and inequalities. That position does not narrow our questions: it makes them more demanding and more relevant to international dialogue.

How we work
- 01
Questions before tools
Every project starts from a communication question. Technology is an object of study and, when appropriate, an instrument.
- 02
Honest documentation
We publish each project's real status, methods and limits. We do not present illustrations as working systems.
- 03
Relevant collaboration
We work with researchers, students and organizations when a shared question justifies it.
Institutional relationship
The lab is part of the Faculty of Communication at Universidad Anáhuac México. Its members are also researchers at the Center for Applied Communication Research (CICA), with which it shares an academic community. CICA's figures and initiatives are not presented here as results of the lab.
Ecosystem
The lab shares a community with CICA and with Anáhuac Landscape, the University's digital academic magazine on artificial intelligence, communication and society, where some of its members' essays are published.
