PhD in Applied Communication from Universidad Anáhuac and member of Mexico's National System of Researchers, Level 1. He served as president of the Mexican Association of Communication Researchers (AMIC, 2019–2021) and of the National Council for Teaching and Research in Communication Sciences (CONEICC, 2012–2015). Researcher at the Center for Applied Communication Research (CICA), Faculty of Communication.
